Many hours of second hand fame!
Andy Warhol famously commented that everyone would have their 15 minutes of fame. Here in the Kilner family, we can go a little bit further. As everyone knows (or at least should know), the Kilners are famous for making Kilner jars (a glass jar with a seal-down lid for preserving things). The original makers of the jars were the Kilner family in Yorkshire (that’s in England for the non-natives reading this). A famous product of Yorkshire is Jeremy Clarkson who is a presenter on Top Gear and a columnist in the Sunday Times.
It turns out that several generations back, his family and mine diverged. He became a famous presenter and stuff. We got to keep the family name! The BBC has some more details at Who do you think you are?
