Book or Internet?
I wrote a short while ago about the world going a funny colour. Look here. I compared the day to a film that I had seen many years ago, the name of which I couldn’t remember. I searched the internet, but could not find the film I was talking about. That’s part of the problem with the internet, it’s vast and not always organised the way you would like it to be (for example, in alphabetical order). Books on the other hand can often be organised alphabetically (dictionaries, encyclopaedias (or is that encyclopaedii)).
Anyway, yesterday I just happened to be browsing a book called something like ‘The 2005 Movie Review’. As far as I could see, it had an entry for every film every made. Out of curiosity, I looked up the film that I had previously mentioned (The day the earth stood still). I then glanced at the previous entry. Lo and behold, it was the film that I had been trying to recal in the first place. The day the earth caught fire.
So, you decide, which is better, a book or the internet? I guess it depends if you have the right book in front of you.
